The Hawkeye Summer/Fall Test is all stakes, Natural Ability, Utility Preparatory and Utility Test. Sign up early to ensure a spot or secure a place on the waitlist. It is common for this test to turnover as handlers and dogs move into other tests or have to withdraw.
Valid, meaningful tests for versatile hunting dogs must be conducted in an environment that reflects actual hunting conditions, and they must test the important qualities of a good versatile dog. Judges must be knowledgeable, consistent and objective, and all testing and evaluation should reflect the extent to which dogs are productive hunting companions.
Please be at the event facility by 6AM. Introductions and Instructions will begin at 6:15AM, and we will begin promptly after instructions to try to beat the heat at much as we can.
Handlers MUST be present for Introductions & Instructions no matter where you are listed in the running order
The test will begin at the “Farm” just outside of Searsboro, IA

We will have lunch available to purchase, so please bring cash. Please feel free to bring your own lunch if you feel inclined to do so.
You only need to attend on the day you are scheduled to run. If you are listed on Saturdays running order, you only need to attend on Saturday. If you are on Sundays running order, you only need to attend on Sunday. As always, you are welcome to attend the opposite day to watch or even volunteer!
